A Murder, A Green Man, & Forbidden Desire. Oh My!

August 5, 2024

And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for. I’m proud to announce the 3 shows I’ll be taking part in this month for Shakespeare In The Valley/Theater Under The Stars 19th Season.

Kicking off the season will be the premiere of a new play entitled “The Ox Pasture Incident,” a melodrama-style-ish play based on a real murder committed here in New Hampshire. I will be starring as one of the suspects. Am I the guilty party? You'll just have to see it and find out. This one opens up in Waterville Valley Friday, 8/9, at 6:30pm, and will play a second and final performance on Saturday, 8/17 at the same time.

Next up, also playing at the same time as "Ox Pasture...," is an interactive take on the classic tale of “Robin Hood,” riffing on classics films such as “Robin Hood Men In Tights” and “Princess Bride” (you’ll know it when you see it). I’ll be featured as Friar Tuck AND the dastardly King. Insanity will ensue, and not one show is the same, so don’t miss it! "Interactive Robin Hood" will open on Saturday, 8/10, at 6:30pm, and will play two other performances at the same time on Friday, 8/16, and Friday, 8/23.

And finally, for one night only on 8/24 at 6:30pm, is the close of the season: is Shakespeare’s under appreciated comedy, “Love’s Labour’s Lost,” where I’ll once again be lending my comedy skills to my first Shakespearean clown, Costard. This production not only features the talent onstage in the other two shows, but will also feature a bevy of young, spirited members of the theatre's summer camp that I will also be taking part in as a staff member/teacher.

How this’ll all be done in just a few weeks? Well, you’ll just have to trek it up to Waterville Valley and see for yourself!!!! And the best part is admission is free! But the theatre does recommend that in lieu of buying tickets, the best way to support them is to give a donation. Even a small amount can go a long way; support the arts!
